VOTER INFORMATION

2020 ELECTION CALENDAR

APRIL 13, 2020

  • Deadline to apply to register to vote in the May 12 Special Election is             Sunday, April 12, 2020*
  • Actual deadline is Monday, April 13, 2020

MAY 5-11, 2020

  • Early voting for the Special Election is between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, There is NO Saturday voting on a special election. Early voting ends at 4:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the election, May 11, 2020.

AUGUST 11, 2020
•        Municipal Primary Election (City Administrator)

•        Deadline to apply to register to vote - Sunday. July 12, 2020*

•        Actual deadline is Monday, July 13, 2020


OCTOBER 19, 2020
•        Early voting for the General Election is between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Early voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the election, November 2, 2020.


NOVEMBER 3, 2020
•        General Election

•        Nonpartisan Runoff Election

•        Annual School Election (If held in November)

•        Deadline to apply to register to vote - Sunday, October 4, 2020*        

•        Deadline is Monday, October 5, 2020

DECEMBER 1, 2020
•        General Runoff Election (County and Municipal)

•        Or in case of a tie for certain state or township offices.

•        Annual Runoff School Election (If election was held in November)

•        Deadline to apply to register to vote -Sunday, November 1, 2020*.                  Actual deadline is Monday, November 2, 2020.

*Deadlines that fall on a weekend or holiday will advance to the next business day.

VOTER REGISTRATION
  • To register to vote, one must complete a Voter Registration Application that can be obtained from the County Clerk's office in the courthouse or by downloading at this link,  Voter Registration Application.
UPDATE VOTER INFORMATION
  • A resident of Cross County who needs to make an address or name change should contact the County Clerk's office (870-238-5735) for assistance with these updates.
 APPLICATION for ABSENTEE BALLOT
  • To vote by Absentee Ballot, one must complete an Absentee Ballot Application that can be obtained from the County Clerk's office or by downloading at the following link, Application for Absentee Ballot.
 TRANSFER REGISTRATION FROM ANOTHER ARKANSAS COUNTY
  • If a person is registered to vote in another county in Arkansas, the voter registration can be transferred up to four days before the election day.
